E-Cigarette Atomizer Maintenance Cleaning using Coke/ DSE801
A few people have asked for me to video this procedure. This is just an additional step that I do once every one to two weeks besides letting the atomizer drain overnight. Be your own judge with knowing that one of my atomizers lasted four months with this procedure.(Please note: Some manufacturers do not recommend water) Keep in mind that some say that this is questionable because of the sugar in the cola, however I have had no problems with rinsing it well. In the video I soaked for 22 hours, however any amount of time is better than not at all, especially if you need your atty immediately. As with maintenance with just water, it will take a few more draws to get it vaping again. To help with that I put 2-3 drops of e-liquid directly on the dry atomizer just this time followed by a fresh full cartridge. I purchased my DSE801 E-Cigarette/Atomizer/Batteries and E-liquid from www.awesomevapor.com because of the quality of product and excellent customer service! Thank you for watching and Happy Vaping!

Thanks a lot for your quick reply ,
I have another question , If I coke bath my atomizer , I don’t have to replace my atomizer every 1-2months , is that right?
Not necessarily. Most manufacturers don’t recommend this, however with me I have found it seems to help with them lasting longer. We are all looking for tips to get them to last longer and the fact is they do get a build up of boiled nic, so this just helps remove some of it. Some say steaming over a tea pot helps also. Thanks for commenting!
thanks, you are so helpful!
Just a thought, how do you think it would do in the dishwasher? Not through a cycle, but when you use the option of steam drying….and before it gets done?
I don’t think it would do much good as the steam would have to get directly into the atomizer and that process would not really do the trick. Thanks for commenting!
ever occur to use just plain seltzer/soda water? no sugar. or perhaps hydrogen peroxide?..just a thought
Hi, I tried the peroxide, no fizzle
Nope, never even thought of seltzer water. Maybe I will give it a try. Thank you for commenting and suggestion!
Use vodka or rubbing alcohol.
It disolves the resins instantly
Thank you. I will have to give it a try. Thank you for the tip!
get a 510 little to no cleaning needed just get manual batteries and activate the battery and blow in to the atty to cool it down once it starts glowing cherry red..i do that about once a week after an atty gets about 5 weeks old no cleaning before that at all.
Hello, I know what you mean. I recently got a 510 and switch off on both now. Thank you for commenting!
Thank you!
Thank you so much. I just got my 1st kit friday (Sun now) & like it alooot so far. How do you know when to clean them?
Hello, Please note: Some manufacturers do not recommend water, so at risk of voiding your warranty, you might want to check with them, or have a spare on hand. I mainly use this when the atomizer is on its way out and general blowing it out doesn’t seem to improve the vape. Most atomizers last from 1-3 months, this has just extended that time on mine for a few. Thanks for commenting.
Thanks for replying. I think I may have killed mine. Did coke, then hot water & dried ( I thought) & used the next morning now getting hardly any hit or vapor & getting liquid in my mouth. I have really liked them but I guess I just don’t know what I’m doing @ this point I guess. I’ll learn. I have a back up in case I have to get the 1st 1 replaced.
It’s working now. I blew it out real good & let it sit for ahwile
It takes awhile after cleaning to get it primed again with several drops of juice.
Instead of using coke why not use carbonated water?
That is what the airlines use on a quick turn to clean the bathroom floors.
go up to your URL bar, put a Q between the words you and tube and then press enter
I’ve been told that for each atomizer, you should only use 1 flavor of smoke juice, otherwise you end up mixing the flavors, producing an unexpected result. Once you clean the atomizer with your method, are you free to start using a different flavor of smoke juice with that atomizer? Thanks in advance for your help.
Yes, it would be free from the previous juice you used. However blowing out the atomizer a couple of times and putting in a new cart with the new flavor would not take long to get the new flavor going through the atomizer. It’s a matter of preference for some if they want to deal with the flavor during change over. Personally I just switch flavors and use the same atty. I don’t use this coke method as a way of clearing the previous flavor out, but it will do the trick, Thanks for commenting!
please dont make fun of me, this is serious, i cleaned mine with a paper towell and pushed it with my eyebrow tweezers, and some piece of metalic filter came out, what was that?
should i just put it back in? is kind of broken
Hello, I wouldn’t make fun of you.
That might be part of the coil in the atomizer. Looks like it would need to be replaced. These things happen. Thank you for commenting !
